Is this a good poem? Please, answer!?
It’s the intro for my essay. Usually, I’m terrible with poems, but I feel that this poem will add to it. Is it good enough. Should I change some things?
TITLE=Adam and Amani: The Tale of Two Lovers
Once upon a time,
Two pious families who were always competing,
Had children who, one day, had a meeting,
Although the stars were crossed that night,
When their eyes met, it was love at first sight,
She, a Muslim, was already engaged,
He, a Christian, only came to evoke change,
But that didn’t stop them from loving each other,
Even though they barely knew one another,
It’s speculated that opposites attract,
This tale will prove it’s a fact,
But even those in love still feel pain,
Especially our average Muslim Jane,
So, eventually, she took a knife to end her life.
Because all she ever wanted was to be Adam’s wife.
